Home Sweet Home 💙

It's so incredibly wonderful to be home. It fits us perfectly, and the city is in fine form, with lovely fog and cool winds. Additionally, my home is well-equipped, so I'm not experiencing allergic reactions to everything. It's soothing.

We had electric car adventures on the way home. We ran out of time and didn't charge before leaving, and left with less than an optimal amount of battery. With these kinds of batteries, they don't like to be charged more than 80% nor do they like to run lower than 20%. What's more important is that the top 20 and the bottom 20 percent are not the same as the middle 60. It charges more slowly and runs out more quickly. We came on the 101, and there are many large hills, and the battery is also used more on freeways than in town, and also going freeway speeds. Anyway, going up the hill before the Golden Gate Bridge, we were at 27% and losing battery rapidly. The question was, should we just try to make it to the city and find charging? Once we got on the bridge and back to normal driving, even though it was up and over the giant hills of SF, we ended up with 25% battery. Spider Mite will dine tonight, and all will be well in the world.
